The team of the ProCurand day care Strausberg On Wriezener Straße, we recently took a trip across the Straussee with our day guests. Twenty day guests, six colleagues, and one intern took the ferry to the other side of the lake. The journey by trolleybus ferry takes about seven minutes. This was just enough time for a few nice songs like „We're crossing the lake" and „A trip on the sea is fun", which everyone sang together.
After crossing, the group strolled along the Straussee, with breaks of course. The destination was ProCurand Senior citizens' residence Am Straussee. The day guests were warmly welcomed there. They enthusiastically admired the beautiful garden and the bird aviary before hunger drove them to the restaurant for a delicious lunch. "A big thank you to Michael Sigmund and his kitchen team for preparing everything so wonderfully. Everyone enjoyed the food very much," says Nursing Service Manager Nadine Fügemann.
The day guests made their way home by minibus. Back at the day care centre, the day was reviewed over coffee and cake. Everyone was particularly proud of having managed the distance – a good 1.2 kilometre walk, no less! They gave themselves a big round of applause for it, and rightly so! Conclusion: It was a truly lovely day with exercise, delicious food, and good conversation, which they raved about for a long time afterwards.
