The residents Bölschestraße senior citizens' residence visited the ostrich farm in Kagel together. During a guided tour, they gained interesting insights into the keeping and way of life of the world's largest birds and learned interesting facts about the animals and the farm.
Following this, the group explored the farm shop, which offered a wide range of ostrich-related products, from artfully decorated eggshells and leather goods to regional specialities.
The group rounded off the excursion with a shared lunch at the in-house snack bar. This provided an opportunity for conversations and the exchange of the many new impressions.
„The guided tour offered a lot of interesting information and made the trip a special experience,“ reports Denise Grytzka from the social services.
