At this year's sports festival Eberswalde Schorfheide Senior Residence Residents spent an active and varied day with the children from the Lichterfelde daycare centre.
At various stations, participants could demonstrate their dexterity. Whether it was a coconut shy, ring toss, darts, a fun wheel, or a car race – the games invited participation and provided many shared experiences between young and old.
For a bit of refreshment in between, there was ice cream, fresh melon, and cool drinks. The sports festival concluded with an awards ceremony, where all participants received certificates, medals, and small prizes.
„It was lovely to see how enthusiastically the children and seniors mastered the games together,“ reports a staff member.
