Generations Interacting at Bölschestraße Senior Residence

30.06.2026

For two days, students from the Georg Klingenberg School were guests at the Bölschestraße senior citizens' residence. Together with the senior citizens, they spent varied hours playing board games, going for walks and having personal conversations.

This quickly led to lively encounters between the generations. Young and old exchanged ideas about school, work, family, and personal life stories. For the seniors, the visit offered a wonderful opportunity for shared discussion, while the pupils gained valuable insights into the experiences and life paths of older people.

„It's lovely to see how easily conversations arise between the generations and how both sides benefit,“ reports Denise Grytzka from the social services department.

The positive experiences from the project strengthen both sides in their intention to continue their cooperation with the Georg-Klingenberg-School. This will also enable encounters between young and old in the future.
