Recently, at ProCurand Residence Am Hallorenring A cross-generational meeting project is taking place in Halle. Nine tenantsinside were welcomed five studentswithin the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University of Music and Theatre Leipzig. The young guests were accompanied by Professor Boris Leibold, lecturer Antje Gertner and pastoral assistant Dorothea Tesching. The idea for the project arose from a simple question: How do young people today view the generation of their parents and grandparents? Together with a tenant, this led to a musical exchange between young and old. For the opening, the students[object object] presenteda small musical programme with songs from the tenants' youthAfterwards, everyone quickly got talking over coffee and cake. They shared memories of childhood and youth, early romantic experiences, and life after the war. At the same time, the tenants were interested in the young people's life stories, their future plans, and their journey to acting. „The afternoon was an enriching experience for everyone involved. The enthusiasm was so great that a continuation of the project has already been planned – this time at the New Theatre Halle,“ reports residence manager Melanie End, brilliant!
