For the residents of St Ulrich nursing home an excursion reached lofty heights: together they visited the Große Arber, the highest mountain in the Bavarian Forest, which can even be seen from the facility. Thanks to the support of the Arber cable car team, everyone was able to travel up the mountain in a relaxed and accessible way in the gondola. Some residents even had the good fortune to secure a seat in the „little heart gondola“. Arriving at an altitude of around 1,400 metres, the group was greeted by an impressive view. A few brave souls even ventured out onto the viewing platform and enjoyed the view over the landscape. After taking in all the wonderful impressions, a spot of refreshment in the cosy mountain hut was, of course, a must. Afterwards, they took the gondola back down to the valley. It was an all-round successful excursion with many wonderful shared experiences.
