Around 55 residents experienced a special musical afternoon at Senior Citizens' Centre Am Herzogschloss in Sulzbach-Rosenberg visiting the Sulzbach-Rosenberg miners' chapel.
Around 25 musicians came to the senior citizens' centre on a voluntary basis and presented marches and upbeat music for about 45 minutes. In the summer temperatures, the band played on the raised lawn in the shade, while the residents took their seats under the marquee and on the balconies to listen to the concert.
The Sulzbach-Rosenberg miners' brass band visits a different facility in the town every year and this time treated the residents of the Am Herzogschloss senior citizens' centre to a musical afternoon.
To conclude, a piece with a special regional tradition could not be left out: together, the well-known miners„ song “Glück auf" was sung.
