Christmas in Cham and New Year's greetings

05.01.2024

Also in the ProCurand Nursing home Pfarrer Lukas December was a festive month in Cham. There was a St Nicholas party with the residents and an Advent coffee party with the Women's Union with lots of delicious cakes. There was also plenty of music on offer: there was an Advent concert with the harpists from the district music school in Cham and an Advent concert with the wind orchestra of the pupils from Josef-Frauenhofer-Gymnasium (as part of the "young-meets-old project"). Both concerts were very atmospheric and went down well with the residents. A big thank you to the district music school and the pupils. "On New Year's Eve, we ended the year together. With a glass of sparkling wine, homemade firecrackers and lively music, we laughed, swayed, sang and threw out the old year," reports Nicole Roith, Head of Social Care. On New Year's morning, "messengers of happiness" from the day-to-day support team visited all residents in their rooms. They served fortune biscuits and homemade crackers that had been lovingly filled with a chocolate pig and confetti. Of course, they also brought good wishes for the New Year. And for those who wanted to - and there were many! - the colleagues read out their personal horoscope for the year. The residents were delighted with this loving gesture. So 2024 can only be good, thank you!
