Cheers men! In the ProCurand Senior Centre Am Herzogschloss A men's regulars" table takes place once a month on a Sunday morning. Half of all residents – between 10 and 15 men – attend regularly. Everyone enjoys being amongst themselves for a few hours. Fun songs are sung, jokes are told, and of course, plenty of beer is drunk. The regulars" table has been in existence since 2015. Sylvia Stahl from Social Support initiated it back then as a project during her further training as a gerontology specialist and has moderated it ever since. Then came Corona and the temporary closure, but the tradition has been revived again for some time now. "Many female residents would gladly join in. However, they are kindly refused and told that this is the only event exclusively for gentlemen. Most of them then understand," says Sonia Haubelt, Head of Social Support. Well then, bottoms up, dear men, and a toast to Sulzbach-Rosenberg!
