The first 16 tenants have already moved into the newly opened ProCurand Residence Am Hallorenring moved into Halle-City. They were warmly welcomed by residence manager Melanie End and occupancy manager Lisa Neumann. All tenants of the modern serviced flats receive a high-quality blanket in ProCurand red as a welcome gift when they hand over their flat or move in. There is also a moving-in folder with a city map, the current events schedule, helpful tips and advice and a personalised welcome card. This is very well received. „Mrs Neumann and I ask the tenants after their first night how they slept in their new home and whether they had any special dreams. It's important to us that they feel comfortable with us right from the start,“ says Melanie End. The two in-house technicians at the residence, Lars Brauner and Daniel Balk, are happy to support the tenants and their relatives. Their help has already been called upon several times for typical move-in work, they have installed lamps, drilled holes for pictures or shelves and assembled cupboards. The installed smart home system is still somewhat problematic at the moment, but the residence team is liaising closely with the provider company about this. Small training sessions are also being offered to all employees and a training session and Q&A session for tenants is planned for the end of March. „We don't leave anyone on their own, on the contrary, we are always there to help with any questions or problems. We know how challenging a move can be in old age. Support is a matter of course for us,“ says Stefanie Neumann. It also goes without saying that the team at the residence offers tenants the opportunity to get to know each other and grow together as a community.
Recently, the first eight came to a welcome and familiarisation coffee. There was a glass of sparkling wine and a delicious peach and melba cake baked by kitchen manager Markus Städtler. After the employees from the building services, restaurant, kitchen, reception and outpatient care service had introduced themselves, the tenants also introduced themselves briefly. Some of them then got talking to each other. Werner Schimetzek, 87, said with a wink about the floor-to-ceiling windows and the lack of window sills for flowers: „If you show the rich people on TV, they always have floor-to-ceiling windows. Now we have them too and are very happy about the beautiful bright rooms in our flat.“ There was a hearty laugh. „In future, we're planning a welcome round for new tenants every two months. This will help the shy ones among our tenants and strengthen our community,“ reports Melanie End.
