In mid-March, the ProCurand Senior citizens' residence Am Straussee its doors to interested guests. The team of the Home care Strausberg had blown up and hung up loads of balloons and decorated the facility. All colleagues from outpatient care, residential care and inpatient care and support presented themselves and their work from their best side. This gave the numerous visitors a comprehensive picture of what the facility has to offer. The Day care Strausberg from Wriezener Straße presented its range of employment programmes.
Christina Baumunk, manager of the home care service, mixed healthy smoothies and handed them out to visitors. Birgit König and Manuela Zopf from administration guided visitors through the building, past the skittle alley and sauna to the care area, where Easter decorations were being busily crafted. In the Strausberg Salon, all guests were treated to fresh waffles and coffee. Anyone fancying something savoury was directed towards the barbecue, where caretaker Jürgen Müller was grilling sausages. Those who still needed a boost could have themselves spruced up by the facility's beautician. "I was particularly pleased that not only the team but also our residents actively supported us," says Janin Tiedemann, facility manager. For example, the day care team danced a lively jig with resident Marta Wiedemuth. Conclusion: It was a thoroughly successful day for everyone involved and will surely be repeated!
