On a sunny summer's day, the residents of the ProCurand Senftenberg retirement home a special afternoon on the terrace overlooking the idyllic Lake Senftenberg. The temperature was 30 degrees and there was a mix of sun and clouds, the ideal weather for spending time outdoors. "Our dedicated colleague Cori had organised a varied programme. We set up two basins with cool water in which the residents could refresh their feet. This simple but effective idea was a lot of fun!" says Ricarda Thieme, Head of Social Care. The team had also prepared delicious sundaes decorated with whipped cream, mandarins and crispy waffles. For some, this brought back childhood memories of carefree summer days. The mind was also challenged: An entertaining puzzle awaited the senior citizens. Team ProCurand Senftenberg had prepared various tricky riddles and quiz questions, which led to lively discussions and shared thoughts. "Despite the heat, our residents showed great ambition and had a lot of fun solving the puzzles. Solving the puzzles together not only encouraged mental activity, but also team spirit and a sense of community," reports Ricarda Thieme. Feet in the cool water, an ice cream sundae and puzzling and chatting at the same time - that's a great way to endure the summer, dear colleagues!
