Nursing service manager Nadine Fügemann, and carers Nicole Dräger and Kordula Fechner from ProCurand Day care Strausberg recently took a trip to Eberswalde Zoo together with 14 day guests and a relative. There they were able to watch the penguins being fed. „Our carer Nicole was brave enough to grab three fish to lure the penguins to us and then reward them. It worked and we all really enjoyed it,“ says care service manager Nadine Fügemann. After feeding the penguins, the Strausberg group made their way to the tame ducks, who were also happy to be fed. Many of the day guests reminisced about their childhood memories, having grown up feeding the ducks. The donkeys and goats at Eberswalde Zoo were also happy to be stroked. Tired from walking, everyone enjoyed lunch outdoors. „We had another great day, which our seniors talked about for a long time. We're already planning lots of new wonderful moments for the day guests,“ reports Nadine Fügemann. Beastly good, dear colleagues!
