Until now, the ProCurand Service Living Strausberg Wriezener Straße The centre already offers courses such as "Dancing while sitting" and "Memory training". A new addition is now "Painting for seniors", led by Stefanie Duspiva, deputy house manager. Painting promotes fine motor skills, strengthens memory and concentration and is simply fun. The participants were able to switch off well. They painted with watercolours and on canvases, which was easier than with pencils. Motifs were chosen freely. "I brought some pictures of myself and explained how I start painting and the residents got started straight away. They were amazed at how often you can go over the colours with the brush and how the picture then changes," says Stefanie Duspiva, some of whom announced afterwards that they had discovered a new hobby. Others were very proud of themselves, as they hadn't thought they could still paint. The overall feedback was so good that this course will take place at least twice a month in future. "I am grateful that I can share my hobbies of dancing and painting with my seniors and am delighted that they respond so enthusiastically and take part," says Stefanie Duspiva. Thank you for this wonderful idea - everyone is already looking forward to the exhibition of the artworks!
