Bowling in the Bölschestraße

27.08.2024

23 bowling enthusiasts gave it their all at the advertised bowling morning in the ProCurand Bölschestraße senior citizens' residence. Some were in wheelchairs, some were bowling with a walking frame. Everyone had the chance to bowl the perfect shot and were lovingly supported by the social care team. The sound of bowling in the centre can be heard everywhere. The heavy wooden balls rumble across the floor and the wooden skittles rattle when they are hit and fall to the ground. Not forgetting the applause and loud cheering.

A „competition between the living areas“ broke out. There was also some swearing when the ball didn't roll as planned. Then it was said: Gather momentum and try again! In the end, a resident from the Bellevuepark residential area won with 20 points in three rounds. He was delighted to receive a small herbal victory drink. The two runners-up came from other residential areas, so that in the end winners could be chosen from each of them. But even those who only scored a few points had fun and were by no means sad. Everyone enjoyed the cheerful atmosphere in the group and rejoiced when the others scored. „That's exactly how it should be. The positive feeling in the group brings people together and that's what matters at sports events like this,“ says Franziska Gabriel, Head of Social Care. Being there is almost everything, only winning is a little bit nicer!
