Walk to the Senftenberg city harbour

30.08.2024

Nineteen residents from the care centre and three tenants from the ProCurand service apartments Senftenberg retirement home recently took a trip to Senftenberg town harbour in ideal weather. They were joined by some family members who provided support. Fortunately, there was also plenty of relaxing shade on the path that leads directly along the lake. The view of Lake Senftenberg and the fresh air were pure relaxation. Once we arrived at Pier 1, the boats were a talking point. As a little surprise, all the residents were given a scoop of ice cream. But that wasn't all - the kitchen team had given the day trippers some spray cream and egg liqueur. This made the sundaes a special treat. This small gesture delighted everyone involved! The residents enjoyed the afternoon to the full, laughing and talking a lot. "The outing was a complete success and showed once again that a great effect can be achieved with little effort. Such shared experiences are important for the well-being of our residents," reports occupational therapist Ricarda Thieme. Everyone is already looking forward to the next outing! Great idea, dear colleagues!
