Oops, there's a pony in the corridor! Minishetty Burgi recently visited ProCurand St Ulrich nursing home in Lam. The residents were quite astonished. Equipped with non-slip socks, Burgi and his owner Kathrin Multerer, a geriatric psychiatrist and specialist in professional animal-assisted intervention, approached the residents. Burgi enjoyed being stroked extensively. Those who dared fed the little therapy pony with treats. Burgi loves being the centre of attention and passes on this joy. Animals are amazing motivators and door openers, especially for people suffering from dementia. Because Burgi was so well received, it was certainly not the last visit from the pony and her owner Kathrin Multerer. Thanks to both of them and great idea, dear colleagues!
