Summer Olympics in Bölschestraße

16.09.2024

In the ProCurand Bölschestraße senior citizens' residence the residents recently took part in the Summer Ball Olympics. Despite hot temperatures of around 33°C, 23 participants took part. To survive the heat, a small drinks bar with juice and water jugs was set up in advance. Five stations were set up, each of which was supervised. At station 1, a Beerpong table, a table tennis ball had to hit the table in such a way that it bounced into a cup. At station 2, sandbags were thrown at a number board. Station 3 required calmness and skill, as a table tennis ball had to be balanced on a table tennis ladle without falling off. This caused a few laughs. „Our intern was in charge of Station 4 and kept setting up the can tower for the can throwing. By the end, she was a pro at stacking, so to speak,“ says Franziska Gabriel, Head of Social Care, with a laugh. The final station 5 made the men's hearts beat faster. „Football“ - the ball had to be kicked into the corner! Points were also scored for hitting the crossbar.

In the end, three men took the first three places. They were delighted to receive thunderous applause, a certificate and a voucher for an ice cream sundae in our „Vier Jahreszeiten“ restaurant. It was a great Summer Olympics and everyone is already looking forward to the Winter Games!
