Recently, the tenants of the ProCurand Bölschestraße senior citizens' residence to Klaistow to visit the pumpkin exhibition there. The theme of this year's exhibition is „Flames, sparks, pumpkin fires“. The exhibition is very impressive. There are huge sculptures made of pumpkins, flaming hearts, stylised fire fish, artfully arranged and sometimes designed with great attention to detail. During the tour, the tenants were amazed at what can be created from pumpkins.
After the exhibition, the Friedrichshageners treated themselves to some well-earned refreshments in the on-site restaurant. The menu naturally matched the theme: there was a choice of crispy tarte flambée or hot, aromatic pumpkin soup, just the thing for most people on this rather chilly autumn day. In a cosy atmosphere, everyone shared their impressions and chatted animatedly about the artistic performances. Many a childhood memory of autumn was awakened and recounted to the others. Once again, the Service Wohnen tenants really enjoyed the company. „Outings like this strengthen the togetherness of our tenants. We are already looking forward to the next outing together and to experiencing more unforgettable moments!“ says Denise Grytzka from Social Services, who not only organised the outing but also accompanied it.
