The social care team at ProCurand Havelpalais retirement home recently organised a sports day for the residents. As the weather didn't play ball, the stations were set up in the residential areas. At the various stations, the residents threw rings, wound up ducklings (where time counted), aimed balls at a bin bag, shot at a goal and curled rings, the invention of a colleague from the team. At the end, everyone received a certificate and the top three physically fitter residents received a prize, as did the top three physically less fit residents.
„Hopefully we'll have better luck next year and the weather won't throw a spanner in the works, then we'd like to declare war on our inner bastard in the garden,“ says Marika Große, Head of Social Care, with a laugh.
