Recently, the ProCurand Senior citizens' residence Am Görnsee in Grebs, the Brandenburg police held a prevention event on the subject of behaviour in road traffic. The team came up with the idea for the event together with a concerned relative. Construction is currently underway on the main road opposite. Lorries very often turn in front of the ProCurand facility, which is a major hazard for our residents.
The police officer explained all the dangers of road traffic and refreshed the residents„ knowledge. For example, he clearly explained the blind spot and the braking distance of a car and a lorry. Almost 40 residents took part in the event with such interest that the management and Brandenburg police were pleasantly surprised by their attentiveness. “The building site opposite will be with us for a while yet, but now the residents - and therefore also their relatives and ourselves - feel a little safer. That was important to us," reports centre manager Juliane Rogazewski.
