As every year, our ProCurand Senior citizens' residence Am Krökentor the traditional Christmas tree decorating event for „young and old“ took place. Once again, the children from the Sonnenblume kindergarten's Sonnenschein group and around 30 tenants from the serviced apartments were there with their relatives, including a number of new residents.
The children brought their own tree decorations, which were then hung up together and duly admired. As a thank you, the little ones were given lots of sweets. The kitchen team spoilt all the hard-working little helpers with homemade lard cake and hot chocolate, while the grown-ups were served mulled wine.
A tenant told the children a Christmas story from her life and had rehearsed and performed a song. This caused great enthusiasm in the group. The reunion between the teachers and a tenant whose grandchildren went to kindergarten was also very touching. At the end, each child was able to collect a self-made and filled Advent house from reception.
