In the ProCurand Bölschestraße senior citizens' residence the Advent season was celebrated with special events. For example, the team organised an unforgettable lights tour for the residents, which took them through festively illuminated Berlin. The twinkling lights and Christmas trees brought back memories of times gone by, and a surprise visit from Father Christmas, who handed out chocolates, was a source of great joy. In the sheltered living area, it got really cosy with a joint film evening with the classic „Father Frost“. The residents enjoyed delicious cocoa, gingerbread and speculoos, while the social care assistants created a warm atmosphere. „I used to watch a film like this with my grandchildren,“ said one resident with emotion. Another highlight was the nativity play performed by 24 pupils from Friedrichshagen Protestant Primary School in the day room. The children received standing applause and tears of joy from the audience of over 50. A few days later, there was a brass concert in the front garden as an encore, during which the residents listened to well-known Christmas carols and praised the children for their heartfelt gesture.
