The Christmas market at ProCurand Eberswalde senior citizens' residence provided the perfect opportunity to get into the festive spirit. With mulled wine, bratwurst, fresh waffles and a variety of Christmas gifts for those last-minute purchases, there was something for everyone. Regional traders, such as Lebenshilfe, presented beautiful woodwork from their workshop - a great opportunity not only to decorate the Christmas tree, but also to support a good cause. A special highlight was the performance by the Lichterfelde e.V. association, which sang well-known Christmas carols with the residents and recited the Christmas story. „It moved everyone to tears and brought back many memories of earlier times,“ reports Petra Winter, the centre manager.
Christmas baking, where care assistants and residents worked together to create the best biscuits of the year, was another highlight. In addition to snacking on the dough, numerous creative masterpieces were created and distributed at the Christmas party. They sang together, told stories and Father Christmas took the opportunity to hand out presents. „The relatives were delighted and thanked us for the wonderful party,“ says Petra Winter.
