On 8 January, a large group met at the ProCurand Bölschestraße senior citizens' residence to toast the new year. Care service manager Andrea Liebner welcomed numerous residents and tenants to the Vier Jahreszeiten restaurant. She wished everyone good luck for the coming year. After a hearty round of applause, the traditional champagne toast followed to seal the New Year's wishes.
This was followed by the New Year's concert with swing classics sung by Michael Kuczynski, who is a trained musical and jazz singer. His performance thrilled everyone present - and over 80 listeners turned up! He touched the residents with his breathtaking voice and charm. Afterwards, one of them told us with tears in his eyes how much he had enjoyed the concert. He felt like he had been transported back to his childhood.
