The ProCurand team Havelpalais retirement home The visiting dog has arrived and the two cats, Mimi and 47, who live in the facility, have got some serious competition in terms of cuteness, at least temporarily! Quinn, a Golden Retriever, will be visiting residents regularly as a therapy dog starting in January, accompanied by trainer Henry Maek. Quinn is a trained dog from the Potsdam-based association Besuchshunde Pfotenglück E.V. and showed off some tricks, allowed himself to be petted, and quickly won everyone's hearts!
As a reward, he received a small treat, in this case, pieces of cheese, from the residents (and quite a few from the team!). One resident was allowed to lead Quinn around the house on a lead and was very moved because it reminded her of her own dog from the past. „Next time, Quinn and his owner will visit a different residential area and residents who cannot leave their rooms. We are already looking forward to it!“ says Marika Große, Head of Social Support.
