On Shrove Tuesday, „Remmi von Demmi“ heated up the revellers in the ProCurand Bölschestraße senior citizens' residence really well. With his accordion and loose mouth, he elicited many a loud laugh and got many to shake a leg.
Around 60 party-goers danced to hits and party favourites around the lavishly laid tables. Fortified by chocolate kisses and small doughnuts, the singing was even better - many thanks to the kitchen team! The carnival was celebrated in colourful costumes and with unusual accessories. „It's great that so many people joined in the fun and slipped into fancy dress. That's what carnival is all about,“ said Franziska Gabriel, Head of Social Care.
The dance floor was always full and the foyer of the building was also taken over by a polonaise. „It was a real party. I am so grateful that this was made possible. I'm still sore from dancing today, but it was worth it,“ said one happy resident the next morning.
