The tenants of the ProCurand serviced apartments Senftenberg retirement home went on a trip to the Felicitas chocolate factory together with Yvonne Skowronek, head of the day-care centre. They had been looking forward to it for days because chocolate is always a favourite! Everyone was warmly welcomed and there was a little surprise right away: a lovingly designed chocolate blossom for everyone. In the adjoining café, everyone enjoyed coffee and a slice of the famous Felicitas cream cake, a cake made from Baumkuchen, chocolate mousse and caramel. Delicious!
After an introduction to the history and philosophy of the manufactory, we finally got to the part of the programme that everyone had been looking forward to. In the show workshop, the tenants experienced live how all the delicious chocolate works of art are created. The best was saved for last: everyone got to design their own chocolate bar. They used food colouring to decorate the sweet hip gold with cute animal motifs, cars and flowers. The imagination knew no bounds! „The joy of being able to take their own work home with them at the end was clear to see,“ says Yvonne Skowronek enthusiastically. „It was an all-round successful outing for all of us.“.
