Shortly before Easter, a musical guest created an exuberant atmosphere at ProCurand Senior citizens' residence Am Görnsee. He had an unusual instrument with him: his barrel organ. For a good hour, he offered a varied programme of hits and folk songs. „Our residents swayed along happily,“ says administration manager Louisa Nachtigall. The barrel organ player was visiting Grebs for the first time. Centre manager Juliane Rogazewski discovered him by chance in a shopping arcade and listened to him play. „She spontaneously booked him for our residence. The very next day, he was already playing,“ reports Louisa Nachtigall. The residents listened to the barrel organ in the fine weather and some of them reminisced about earlier days when there were still many barrel organ players.
