Recently, the five boys from Potsdam were able to explain the daily tasks of a carer - and make them tasty! Together, the ProCurand management team collected ideas for a varied and inspiring day. There were discussions about training and career opportunities at ProCurand. And of course, the five were also allowed to get hands-on: they tried out a transfer with a hoist, measured blood sugar and blood pressure and pushed each other around the centre in wheelchairs.
To keep them focussed, facility manager Roland Meier-Kerstel provided the young people with snacks and giveaways. He particularly impressed everyone with the description of his personal career path in care: he started out as an FSJ volunteer, then trained as a geriatric nurse, did further training to become a practice manager and is now the facility manager! The boys were very interested in everything and the feedback was consistently positive
