The ProCurand team recently celebrated Bölschestraße senior citizens' residence an annual summer party. Around 200 people attended the party throughout the day, including residents, tenants, relatives, friends and neighbours. The day was opened with warm words from facility manager Stefanie Böhnke. She made it clear that dignity in old age is not just an empty phrase at ProCurand, but a mission. Maik Penn (CDU) also gave a speech. He has been associated with Bölschestraße for many years - not just as a politician, but as a person who sees and appreciates the work on site.
There was plenty on offer musically: The band Lovley Soul played soul and mellow melodies, the Alex Band livened up the party, and solo entertainer Alf Weiss once again put everyone in a good mood with his charm and humour. There was dancing - yes, really dancing! - with a lot of joy of living and lightness.
There was hardly a culinary wish left unfulfilled: The kitchen team barbecued, there were delicious drinks - sparkling cocktails, strawberry punch or a good glass of wine. The cake buffet was particularly impressive with various delicious cakes and tarts, all home-baked by family members and the team - that's how community works in Bölschestraße. And best of all, the voluntary donations collected went directly to the residents and tenants.
Many cooperation partners were also represented with a stand, from the Bölscheschule school to the Friedrichshagen neighbourhood centre. „The centre is embedded in a supporting social network. It is not alone, but part of a lively community - that is very touching,“ says Denise Grytzka from social services and head of cultural events. The raffle with lovingly selected prizes was once again a tradition and a highlight for many this year. It was organised by Ladina Selimi from the campus team, who came to Friedrichshagen especially for the event - thank you very much! „I had the pleasure of organising and hosting this event and am deeply grateful for the trust placed in me,“ says Denise Grytzka. Her thanks go to Andrea Liebner, Head of Care Services, „without whom nothing would work at Bölschestraße and who gives me confidence, freedom and support every day“. Thanks also to the entire care and nursing team, the kitchen team, cleaning team, building services, reception, restaurant - and last but not least to all the volunteers. It was a wonderful celebration that everyone is sure to remember for a long time to come.
