In the ProCurand Senftenberg retirement home The gentlemen's day was celebrated together - in glorious weather. All the gentlemen of the house gathered outside on the terrace and enjoyed the view of Lake Senftenberg. Caretaker Thorsten Kade catered for their physical well-being, preparing various delicacies on the barbecue. This was accompanied by cool beer. This went down particularly well with the residents. Everyday companion Corina Gill had also come up with something special: The day before, she prepared a homemade herb butter together with some of the residents. The fresh herbs came directly from the in-house garden. The effort was worth it. „The herb butter was a real treat for everyone and was very well received,“ says occupational therapist Ricarda Thieme. Musically, the team went all out. Well-known hits from loudspeakers put everyone in a festive mood. Corina Gill encouraged some of the men to dance. Those who wanted to could also let off steam with their hands. They got started with hammer and nail. Under the supervision and support of the team, the residents were able to put their skills to the test. „There was a lot of laughter, chatting and reminiscing,“ reports Ricarda Thieme with satisfaction.
