Excursion to Eberswalde Zoo

21.07.2025

13 inpatient care residents and 12 tenants from Procurand's serviced apartments Eberswalde senior citizens' residence recently went on a trip to Eberswalde Zoo. The day started off rainy, but the sky cleared in time for arrival at the zoo and the sun shone brightly. A total of 12 accompanying persons from the social care team, who had organised the trip, as well as in-house technicians and some care staff were there to provide support. Not forgetting, of course, the dedicated volunteers! They all worked together to ensure the safety and comfort of our senior citizens, pushing wheelchairs, helping with the walking frames and cheerfully answering any questions. This shows the strong cohesion of the community in Schorfheide! During the zoo visit, the group explored the diverse and exciting animal worlds in the zoo. They spent a particularly long time in front of the penguin and tiger enclosures and everyone marvelled at these animals at length.

The catering included tasty chips and currywurst, which everyone enjoyed. The senior citizens had a lot of fun on the outing and when the team sang cheerful songs such as „Hoch auf dem gelben Wagen“, everyone joined in - that's how cohesion and joy of living work in Schorfheide!
