A new series of events recently kicked off at the ProCurand Residence Am Hallorenring takes place. Its motto is „My neighbour tells / introduces ...“ The idea behind it: Tenants tell tenants about their lives, a hobby, an interesting career or special events. In this way, they get to know each other better and enrich each other.
Tenant Monika Hennig kicked things off by talking about her hobby of „lace-making“, which is quite unusual for the region. Eleven enthusiastic tenants came and listened with interest. Monika Hennig described how she got into lace-making and how her hobby became a lucrative sideline. She demonstrated various techniques such as twisting and crossing using a teaching piece and everyone watched in amazement.
In a small exhibition of her work, she presented some very beautiful pieces that were very popular in the arts and crafts shops in the GDR.
„It was an entertaining two hours that flew by, during which we laughed, listened and chatted. We are confident that we will be able to attract more tenants who want to talk about their lives,“ says Melanie End.
