Some residents of the ProCurand Senior citizens' residence Am Straussee And the social care team recently went on an excursion to the „Ferry Festival“. First, they walked along the riverside path – with and without wheelchairs – then the group took the Strausseefähre ferry to Strausberg Old Town. The crossing took about 8 minutes and everyone was so enthusiastic about the unique view of the Strausberg Old Town skyline that the group sailed across the lake three times that afternoon!
Due to the festival, the „Spreematrosen“ played on the ferry and our residents swayed, danced or tapped their feet, depending on their physical condition. One resident played a song on the harmonica with the „Spreematrosen“, and everyone was delighted. At the ferry festival, everyone admired the artistic performances by the stilt walker and clown. But the best part of this special excursion was the crossings, everyone agreed!
Now we're travelling across the lake to the ferry festival...
