Celebrating Christmas together is a tradition in Senftenberg! At the ProCurand Senftenberg retirement home The team spent an evening together, characterised by a great atmosphere and appreciation. The catering was provided by the company Kochtopf, offering a varied buffet. For the main course, there was gyros, tender braised ox cheeks or a vegetarian dish, followed by fruit and a selection of delicious desserts for pudding – delicious! After everyone was full and well fortified, nursing home manager Enrico Kaufmann handed out the Christmas presents, which is also a tradition in Senftenberg.
Unfortunately, the planned DJ had to cancel at short notice due to illness. However, thanks to the quick and decisive action of Heike Pfeiffer and Yvonne Prinz from reception, a replacement was found: DJ Andreas stepped in and, with his music selection, created a lively atmosphere. There was plenty of dancing and, of course, toasting – just as a successful celebration should be!
An emotional highlight was the self-written poem by everyday companion Corina Gill. On behalf of all colleagues, she thanked Enrico Kaufmann for his exceptional commitment. It wasn't an easy year, especially because in addition to his duties as Head of Nursing, he also took on the role of Facility Manager. The team then presented him with a gift as a token of their appreciation.
To ensure everything ran smoothly for everyone, the tasks were deliberately distributed differently that evening: Ricarda Thieme, Head of Support, and Fatima Hammermüller, Quality Management, assisted in the kitchen and washed dishes. And since kitchen work is of course not just a woman’s job, Enrico Kaufmann and Thorsten Kade from Building Services also lent a strong hand.
Head of Care, Enrico Kaufmann, offered words of thanks to everyone and acknowledged the excellent collaboration over the past year and the challenges that all departments have overcome. „The Christmas party once again showed what the Senftenberg retirement home is all about: a strong team that sticks together, both in challenging times and during joyous celebrations,“ he says.
