Christmas traditions in Sulzbach-Rosenberg

22.12.2025

Traditions are honoured at ProCurand Senior Citizens' Centre Am Herzogschloss cared for and nurtured. One of these is a visit from the local Walter Höllerer Realschule during Advent. This year, 15 musicians and 10 singers, accompanied by 3 music teachers and the deputy headteacher, visited. They performed well-known Christmas carols such as „Süßer die Glocken nie klingen“ among others. The Realschule students also had American classics like „Rudolf the Red-nosed Reindeer“ in their repertoire. 44 of our residents listened. They greatly enjoyed the children's music and praised their performance highly. An invitation for 2026 has already been extended!

The „Advent Hours“ are also a tradition in Sulzbach-Rosenberg. During Advent, residents come together with the social support team to listen to festive or amusing Christmas stories and poems. Anyone who wishes can sing Christmas carols together. These hours are very popular with the residents and are always well-attended.
