Gardening and DIY are a joy for life, and therapy at the same time! This was recently shown by Reinhard Regenbrecht, a resident of Bölschestraße senior citizens' residence and caretaker Thorsten Warnke, as they together made the raised beds in the facility's garden in Friedrichshagen fit for spring. With a great deal of patience, manual skill and evident joy, the two worked on the wooden boxes and repaired them. En passant, they got talking and shared their memories. „This small project shows how quickly a community can form when people work together, and how good it feels to create something visible that one can be proud of,“ says Denise Grytzka from Social Services.
