There was plenty to discover at the weekly market: fresh fruit and vegetables, regional specialities and other lovingly presented goods. Our day guests strolled through the market in glorious summer weather and browsed the stalls. Of course, it wasn't just about looking; many bought something. One day guest managed to get his hands on a bag he had been searching for for a long time, and took it home with him, absolutely delighted.
A welcome moment was provided by the chance meeting with residents from our assisted living apartments Eberswalde senior citizens' residence in Schorfheide. Everyone soon got chatting and exchanged ideas enthusiastically. Before heading back to the Eberswalde day care with many impressions and well-filled bags, everyone treated themselves to a delicious ice cream sundae, with or without cream. After all, ice cream is always a good idea!
