The senior citizens from the Residential community Residenz Nordend and the guests of Day care Eberswalde and the Day Care Strausberg The residents of the Eberswalde residential care facility and the Senftenberg care centre went on a trip to Eberswalde Zoo together. Bathed in glorious sunshine, the first stop was the penguins, who were just being fed by the keepers. Anyone who wanted could even feed the animals herrings themselves. This was a unique experience for everyone. The young dwarf otters and the kids in the petting zoo also brought a lot of joy. Of course, a visit to the lions was also a must. During a joint lunch in the zoo restaurant, everyone refuelled with potato salad and Bockwurst sausages and chatted about their best experiences during their zoo visit. “The zoo visit was fun for everyone," reports Head of Care Nicole Vormum. It was a thoroughly successful outing, and certainly not the last one the two locations will share!
