Summer festival of Senior citizens' residence Am Krökentor This year, the event in Magdeburg took place indoors in the newly renovated cultural spaces due to the weather. The event was originally planned to be held outdoors in the park, along with the stationary care. Due to the rain, the festival was quickly moved inside.
Seventy-two senior citizens spent a convivial afternoon there with coffee and cake, as well as salads and grilled sausages. Schlager-Roland, together with his accompanist, provided the musical entertainment.
Staff from the kitchen, supported living, and outpatient care took care of the catering and assisted with the organisation of the celebration.
A special moment was the farewell to Ursula Kreuziger, who is known to many by her nickname „Uschi“. She worked in various areas of ProCurand for many years and was most recently a volunteer in assisted living. With her lovingly designed decorations in the foyer and the regularly organised coffee mornings, she shaped the community life of the residents.
„She is the good soul of this place and will be greatly missed by all of us,“ says Katharina Kaulfuß, Head of Residential Living Services.
The summer festival offered the seniors opportunities for socialising, conversation, and spending time together – regardless of the weather.
