Eine schöne Tradition pflegt die Spielberger Freiwillige Feuerwehr. Senior citizens' residence Am Görnsee Together with the Haus Sonnenschein nursery, for many years now: On April 30th, the decorated Maypole is erected in front of the facility in Grebs. This time the weather god was on our side, the sky was bright blue and the temperatures were spring-like. First, the little ones gave a performance, singing songs about the delightful month of May for the residents – including "Der Mai ist gekommen" and "Alles neu macht der Mai". Naturally, they received a lot of applause for it.
Afterwards, the Maypole was decorated. Companion Simone Karl supported the children with this. Ramona Schmidt from nursing and groundskeeper Percy Assmann then helped to erect the Maypole. For the "young" there was a treat as a thank you, for the "older" refreshing May punch to toast with. Now May can truly arrive!
