Politics meets care - Citizens' consultation in Cottbus: For the first time, MP Maja Wallstein, SPD, and ProCurand policy expert Lars Düsterhöft visited the Cottbus retirement home. The Citizens„ Consultation was very well attended and, in addition to hot coffee, there were also heated discussions. For example, the issue of arms deliveries to Ukraine was discussed intensively. Everyone quickly realised that the politician was really listening. Maja Wallstein explained the decisions that had been made in an understandable way and patiently answered all questions. She had an open ear for local problems and also for the exciting life stories of the residents of the serviced apartments. Who comes from where, who worked where and how did they live? She wanted to know exactly that and so common points of contact were quickly found. “That was a great round! We would like to repeat this great exchange and are already looking forward to the next visit," says facility manager Daniela Landsberg.
