Politics meets Care - Public Consultation in Cottbus: For the first time, Bundestag member Maja Wallstein, SPD, together with ProCurand's political expert Lars Düsterhöft, visited the Cottbus retirement home. The public consultation was very well attended and, alongside hot coffee, there were also heated discussions. The question of arms deliveries to Ukraine was debated intensely. Everyone quickly realised that the politician was genuinely listening. Maja Wallstein clearly explained the decisions made and patiently answered all questions. She had an open ear for local issues and just as much for the fascinating life stories of the residents in the assisted living facility. Where are they from, where have they worked, and how have they lived? She wanted to know precisely, and common ground was quickly found. "That was a great session! We would gladly repeat this fantastic exchange and are already looking forward to the next visit," says facility manager Daniela Landsberg, and so it should be!
