Strausberg Alaaf and Helau! The residents from the care centre and the tenants from the serviced apartment of the ProCurand Senior citizens' residence Am Straussee celebrated carnival in style. Dance cards were handed out for the many ladies who wanted to dance. Jörg Pasch, head of building services, played the dancer and was in great demand. „Bernandos Ohrwurm Express“ entertained everyone with music from the accordion, pan flute and vocals. Everyone swayed, sang and danced merrily. A highlight was the performance of the Funkenmariechen from the Tanzsportverein Fredersdorf, which delighted everyone. „The excitement was particularly high when it came to choosing the best costume. As always, it was difficult for us to choose, as everyone involved went to great lengths,“ reports Janin Tiedemann, head of the organisation. First prize went to Maya the Bee, second to the funny gypsy and third to the captain. To round off the carnival party, the solo entertainer also went around the residential areas and into the rooms with his accordion. So even the bedridden residents enjoyed a little carnival feeling, great!
