The heart's desire mobile was recently on site at ProCurand St Ulrich nursing home in Lam and fulfilled two big wishes for one of the residents. Bernd Geiger wanted a trip to Munich with his partner. He wanted to visit his former training company there with her. His second heartfelt wish was to marvel at the works of art in the Lenbachhaus (Municipal Gallery) as an art lover.
All his colleagues kept their mouths shut and everything was secretly organised and prepared for the transport. The Herzenswunsch Hospizmobil from the district of Cham surprised him. Two volunteers from the Bavarian Red Cross collected Bernd Geiger and his partner and travelled with them to Munich. They were given an exclusive tour of his former training company.
Freshly fortified after a good lunch, they visited the Lenbachhaus and strolled through the various exhibitions of the Städtische Galerie. Bernd Geiger was particularly fond of the „Blue Rider“. „After the 12-hour trip, he came back to the ProCurand centre tired but overjoyed. It was very touching to see,“ says facility manager Nicole Marchl. ProCurand would like to thank everyone who made this wish fulfilment possible!
