On Maundy Thursday, the residents, tenants and colleagues of ProCurand Senftenberg retirement home Easter together. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful spring weather and the view of Lake Senftenberg. Solo entertainer Bernd Schwerdtfeger created a good atmosphere with well-known melodies and a full dance floor. People swayed, laughed and, of course, danced the night away.
However, the highlight of the day was the visit of the Hirschfeld Easter bunnies. It has been a tradition for over 70 years that volunteers in Easter bunny costumes drive through the town and hand out surprises. Two Easter bunnies presented the people of Senftenberg with sweets, much to the delight of those present. Those who wanted even more sweets could savour the delicious eggnog cake or treat themselves to a glass of eggnog.
