Police check in Dahme/Mark!

19.06.2025

When the ProCurand team Am Schlosspark retirement home was celebrating this year's summer party with the residents and tenants, a police car suddenly pulled up with screeching tyres. After the initial shock, it fortunately turned out that nobody had to be arrested. It was the German People's Police! An ABV (abbreviation for „Abschnittsbevollmächtigter Polizist“, a police officer authorised to deal with police matters) stepped up to the microphone and entertained the guests with funny anecdotes and music from the "GDR era". The senior citizens were delighted, there was much laughter and many a memory of the old days was exchanged. Delicious strawberry cake and cream puffs were served as refreshments.

„It's always nice to see how music and stories can build bridges between the past and present and thus strengthen the sense of community. We are already looking forward to the next party and to creating more wonderful memories together!“ says care service manager Mary-Anne Macke.
