Recently, there was a very special reading at ProCurand Seniors' Residence BölschestraßeDenise Grytzka from the social services read from her book about the Camino de Santiago, the famous „Camino Francés“, which she walked together with her husband in 30 days.
Denise Grytzka has been an indispensable presence on Bölschestraße since 2013, showing great heart and passion in her commitment to residents and tenants. Consequently, there was considerable interest when she wanted to share a profoundly personal journey. „Denise Grytzka attended to everyone with great affection and chose her words so that all could follow her. It was almost as if we ourselves had been walking the Camino de Santiago,“ says facility manager Stefanie Böhnke. Everyone listened with reverence to the stories of encounters with people from all over the world, of tranquil landscapes, and of the strength required to keep moving forward, step by step. Some brought smiles to the audience's faces, while others prompted reflection. Many of the listeners recalled their own travels or moments when they too had been on a journey. It was a very beautiful and interesting afternoon, everyone agreed.
On 12 October 2025, the exhibition „When we're gone – 30 stages, 30 pictures“ by Denise and Sebastian Grytzka will open at the Restaurant Vier Jahreszeiten in the Bölschestraße senior residence. There will also be further readings.
