Recently there was classical music again at ProCurand Havelpalais retirement home. This time, the Ruggieri couple performed and delighted the tenants of the serviced apartment with their singing and dancing. Giancarlo is a professional tenor and his repertoire includes all the roles of Italian and French bel canto, whether Alfredo in „Traviata“, Radames in „Aida“ or Don José in „Carmen“. Sonia studied classical dance and made a career with the ballet of the North Bohemian Theatre Ústínad Labem. She has danced roles in Swan Lake, Giselle and Coppelia.
The centre's cafeteria was packed. The senior citizens listened to the singer's beautiful voice and marvelled at the ballet dancer's graceful dance performances. The artist couple presented classical arias from operas and operettas as well as well-known film and musical melodies such as „New York, New York“ and „Singing In The Rain“. They rightly received a lot of applause and one or two residents moved to the beat and clapped along.
Everyone agreed: Sonia and Giancarlo have to come back!
